Crispy. Fried. Potatoes. Enough said. This delicious side dish checks all my boxes. Ideal accompanied by eggs and bacon for brunch, or beside a protein source for dinner. The magic of Crispy Skillet Potatoes is the versatility. Add more or less what you please, combine with different meals, and enjoy the simple things in life- such as a crispy potato.
- 2 scrubbed medium red potatoes
- 2 tsp Twisted Gourmet Wild Yukon Sage & Cranberry Poultry seasoning blend
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- salt, to taste
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Using a spiralizer, spiral cut potatoes into a bowl. If you don't own a spiralizer, use a large cheese grater to shred the spuds. Press spirals/shred between paper towels to dry, aiding in the crisping process.
In an oven-proof saucepan, melt butter. Sauté onions until they begin to soften and become translucent. Add seasoning blend and potatoes. Sauté all ingredients together for a few minutes, until potatoes have begun to cook and are well coated with butter and seasoning blend.
Place pan uncovered in preheated oven. Allow to bake for 20-25 minutes or until potatoes are golden and crispy on the edges. If desired, sprinkle salt on potatoes, serve, and enjoy!
